Sun was out so was I. Went to the private pond again today. Water temperature 47 degrees- wind slight breeze-Sunny with passing clouds-Lure Type Plastics (senco ) -Best color orange and smoke for tube jig. Best presentation was cast to shallow water using 12 pd. line with a 6 inch Senco type plastic and let sink to bottom,let sit then slowly drag by turning the reel to move the plastic. One fish of note was caught by flipping a stump laydown in 5 ft. depth with a pegged slip sinker in frount of a 4 inch tube bait with a rattle in the center of tube. Largest fish of the day weighted in at 3lbs.10ozs. Had a few other fish on but could not land. All fish caught and releashed.

I had a great day today. I was in a sled on a “unknown” river because I have been sworn to secrecy as to where. Our target was steelhead and I picked up two. I caught my first native that was released so fast that I didn’t even get to see the fin. The other came home for dinner and was 26 inches at 6 pounds. Did I mention it was a great day even in the rain!

this is actually a report for just north of the border in bc. fished for about 3 hours thursday in about 15-20 feet of water along a fairly steep dropoff. landed 2 rainbows , one 12 inches the other about 14 as well as 7 squawfish that will make the next coyote that wanders by very happy :) used a black wooly bugger tied on a 1/32 ounce jig tipped with a peice of worm. also tried jigging a spoon with no luck. 16 inches of flood ice with no overflow temps in the low teens

Found some crappies in a local lake hanging around the drop offs in this shallow lake and C n R a couple small largemouth bass,biggest about 1½ pounds... Fish jigs slow Biggest crappie was about 10 inches.

Found a local Private lake, and asked the owners if we could fish it. They were happy to hear we are catch and release guys. Hooked into a little guy, possibly a 1/4 pound on my 6th or 7th cast. He shook free. Kind of surprised because the owner "claimed" there were bass in the lake. You never know.

About 10 minutes later I hooked into what I thought was another little guy. Couple seconds into the fight the fish decided to put on a show. You gotta love fishing in float tubes and decent size fish make you spin around in circles. Landed her and she was 4.0 pounds even. Huge surprise for me. Caught on 4" pumpkin senko.

LowVW caught one a little later around one pound. We both hooked into 5 or 6 fish, including a little 5" lol.

Fun time, the lake was better than we thought. Only light rain.

Went to my Dad's friends property in Estacada and fished a pond they have which has some large trout as you can see. Used a black Rooster Tail... took about 35 minutes.

went out to my secret area with my buddy and well.... 10 ratfish , tons and tons of sculpins, a big eels, some smal rockfish, some small perch, and mixed flounder and lost a salmon!

Once again went to my secret spot... caught 2 crab, 1 dogfish, tons and tons of sculpins, 1 ling, some flounder and some rockfish! i used the sculpin fellet for bait hook the dogfish on a bobber at about 20 feet down! hooked the doggieat 330 landed by grabing the tail- no net and landed at 4:01 p.m. and fought it for 31 minutes with a 6' 7'' rod, 12 pound test line drop shot weight and a small bass hook. it went to 6 pounds and 3 feet long!

even though this a saltwater report this spot if fish is a secret!



Fish over at my active area on the sound! with a guy i meet at the pier and told him about this spot because he needed another dungie fishery to fish at! so we got some big red rock and a nice size dungie! then start fishing got some rockfish (one was a keeper so i gave it to mike) and then some flounder and big flounder... lots of big sculpins and some eels and some losts of dogfish- 7 hooked 3 landed! and i used a small sculpin for bait and caught a about 17 inch sculpins and the head was as big as my fist! HOLY &*%$!

Snuck out for an hour of largemouth fishing this morning before work, and went to the little lake located just as you reach/leave Granite Falls (sorry, fished here many times before but don't know the name of it...). I worked all the water reachable from shore and caught/released 6 small bass, and this one nicer hawg. This is a great day for me here...I usually only get a few dinks (8-10 inches) when working the same area. But about 10 years ago while shore fishing I caught a 4+ pound bass here, an a few other 2-3 pounders too. I've also fished it from a boat a few times, but the numbers/size always seems the same no matter how hard or where I try. Surface weeds and filled with logs/stumps...you'd think it would be better bass fishing here. Good for a little morning bassin stop-over though.
